There Are Three Unique Methods For Creating 3d Models
There are 3 types of modeling that are used to design a 3D model, these are; spline modeling, box modeling and poly modeling.
The first type of 3D modeling practice is spline modeling. Spline modeling involves creating a curvature using point “A” and point “B.” Many of these points are put together to create the 3d model’s structure. This form of modeling is best for objects that are not going to be animated, as they require a lot of modifications to be suitable for the animation process.
Cars, furniture and real estate models are examples of which types of models work best within the Spline modeling process. These types of models require an extensive amount of curved shapes and therefore work best with Spline modeling.
Box modeling is another method of modeling. It’s called “box” modeling because the object starts in a square like shape that will eventually be shaped into the form of the object. It may take some time to perfect the box modeling method because of its level of difficulty. Box modeling are applied for objects with very difficult lines such as tall, traditional buildings.
The last method for 3d modelers is the Poly modeling method. It is one of the most precise techniques as it will begin with a 3D image consisting of points, which are built upon. These sets of four points are referred to as quads, and the second is attached to the first, and the third is attached to the second, and so on.
The model is created from the bottom up, and can take extended periods of time but requires less adjusting than traditional modeling methods. 3d shell models are mostly built using the poly modeling method because of the detail that goes into the shell of the model. The most advanced technique; poly modeling has been popularized with new technology and software.
