How To Protect Yourself From Spyware

Why should you educate yourself or even protect yourself from spyware? Ill tell you why – your personal information and your computers health might be at risk. Spyware is a piece of software that once on your computer will try to gain valuable personal information on your such as your passwords, usernames, credit cards number and even bank account information. Malware which is often confused with spyware is a piece of software that also finds its way on your computer without you knowing about it but its intentions are to harm your computer. In this article I’m going to focus more on how to prevent spyware from getting into your computer.

Overall the point that I’m trying to make here is that spyware is bad and you should be protecting yourself against it at all costs. I personally use two different pieces of software to protect myself against spyware. One prevents spyware from ever getting into my computer and another is used to find and remove spyware that already on my computer. I suggest using both as you will get a much better level of protection.

The main program that I use is called MalwareBytes Anti Malware and is a completely free program. Just install it on your computer and then just do a full scan on your hard drive – it will then scan your entire hard drive for MalWare. I couldn’t recommend this anymore since what it does is it will look at every single file on your computer to make sure that it is not infected with MalWare or Spyware of some sort. Now, once a full scan is complete and you plan on doing another scan in the future just run a quick scan as it should do the trick. Unfortunately there is a downside to using the free version of this software- you have to manually update it by clicking on the update button (look at the bright side, at least it’s free)

The other piece of software that I use is called Spyware Blaster and it’s main purpose is to protect my computer by preventing malware and spyware from getting into my computers hard drive. I want you to notice the difference: one program that I use is used to scan and eliminate malware/spyware and the other tries to prevent it from ever coming in like a guard. All you have to do s to just download and install the program and it will automatically provide you with full protection. This is also another program that you are going to have to manually update.

What most people don’t know that is that if your computer is infected with spyware it can drastically slow down your computer. This is why it is critical that you take care of your computers health as much as possible.
