Dragon Naturally Speaking Review

Many years ago, I decided that I wanted to be a writer, and that is the job that I hold today. I have been creative all of my life, and becoming a writer allowed me the opportunity to share that creativity with people from around the world. It has been one of the best decisions of my life.

Lately, I have been having issues sitting at the computer and typing all day. I could blame it on my age, but after talking to my doctor, it seems that I am getting carpal tunnel and I will be progressively losing the use of my hands until I can get into surgery. this means that I am not getting all of the work done that I am supposed to, and could result in me having to reduce my level of living or give up some of the luxuries that I enjoy.

I brought these concerns up to my doctor on my last visit and I asked for advice. He suggested that I try out dictation software for my computer and see if that would solve my problem. Dication software lets you tell the computer what you would like to write, and it types it for you in your word processing software just like if you were to type it yourself. I decided that it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try and see if it would solve my problem.

After the visit to the doctor, I went online and looked at naturally speaking review page that the doctor mentioned, and after reading them, I knew that it could definitely be a possibility for me and my problems. I ordered one online and waited in anticipation for it to show up at my door.

Now, just a few weeks into my use of the software, I must say that I am almost back to my old level of productivity. I have been able to get more than ninety percent of the work I used to get done in a day and my employers are happy with my progress. Even after I recover from the carpal tunnel surgery that I will be having in a couple of weeks, I will continue to use the dictation software because I like it. It has been one of the best pieces of software that I have ever used and I can’t imagine working without it.
