Delete Internet History- How To Protect Your Privacy

Why would you want to delete internet history? You may want to do so because it is a good way to keep your system organized. Why keep outdated search requests cluttering up your computer? Another reason many people want to learn how to do this is for privacy reasons. Unless you are the sole user with access to your machine, your browsing history is visible to anyone using it. The process is very simple. There are drop down menus to help you through the process.

Internet Explorer and Firefox are the two browsers currently most used. The deletion instructions are very similar. I will go through the Internet Explorer 8 instructions first. I will explain them quite fully. Then you can see the quick instructions for Firefox.

Here is how to delete your Internet 8 browsing history from Internet Explorer 8 if you want to do it before the computer deletes it in twenty days.

Step1- look at the top of your screen. You will see the word TOOLS up there. Click TOOLS. Now you will see a menu.

You will see several options. Take your time and choose carefully.

Step 2-The final choice on the drop-down menu is ” Internet Options.” When you click here, you will bring up an option box.

Step 3- You will now see a new box on your screen. Go to ” Browsing History” option. It is on the second line.

Step 4- Another box appears. Click the”History” option. A checkmark appears in the box beside the word History. Click the “Delete” button at the bottom of this box.

Step 5involves watching a cartoon representation of files being disposed of from your computer into a trash can. Just wait until this process is finished. Once the process is done you can still decide to abort the deletion. To do this, click the ” Cancel” button. If you want to complete the deletion, you must now click the OK button.

Your Internet Explorer 8 browsing history is now deleted. Firefox works in a similar way.

1. Open your TOOLS menu.

2. Next go to “Options.” Then press the ” Privacy, ” button.

3. Now choose “History.”

4. Select ” Clear.”

Your Firefox browsing history is now gone. That was pretty easy, right?
