Barcode software allows for the simple creation of UPC codes for inventory tracking.  Each code can be resized to fit the size of the items that are being labeled.  The UPC codes are automatically printed in black and white, despite the fact that the codes can be printed in color.  Printing of the UPC codes in color can result in problems with the codes when it comes time to scan them.
